The Runner...

 






With a song as old as time itself, the canopy choir greeted a summer squall with the increasing psithurism of a thousand woody arms embracing overhead.

Breaking out into open fields, the runner filled his lungs with a delicious petrichor of new rain as sunshine turned puddles into a thousand pieces of shattered mirror strewn out before him, a diamond path flashing fun-house rainbows on his way back home.
